The inlet itself is fine, getting to it around south point not so much the markers here are off. There's plenty of water around the point but you have to hug the green cans going in and out. If you stay tight to the red can you'll ground out on low tide. Saw a newish carolina Express with outboards sitting high and dry here. Once in the channel out, stay in the center and theres plenty of water depth out and over the bar.
Public ramp access has always been shallow out to the channel. Never an issue high or low tide, idle in and out.
