Default Re: Dodge 1500 5.7 Hemi for towing??

Your 2004 should have the 7 year 70k powertrain warranty standard.

HOWEER YOU MUST REGISTER WITH A LOCAL DEALER AND PAY A SMALL FEE ($50ish) TO TRANSFER!

I think there is a time limit on this as well - 7 to 14 days after you buy the vehicle.

I bought an 04 Durango with the warranty and I literally had to go to 3 dealers before one could figure out how to transfer the warranty. They said they do approx one every other month. That means that 95% of all used Dodge buyers don't get the warranty they deserved. Plus when I go to buy the extended warranty, it will be cheaper becuase I have the powertrain warranty in effect in my name.

Just giving you a heads up. I have an 04 Durango and am happy with it, I will say the 5.7 hemi is a nicely made engine. I get pretty good milage as well - 16.5-17 on the highway and averaging around 15.5 mixed. (better than my 2001 5.9 durango)
