Id bet they are way over reported.
They include pneumonias, influenza, a ILI....influenza like illnesses....a catch all.

Only 1 /3 of those, are actually positive flu. But all lumped as deaths by influenza. The reason is because that's not a number to be used to argue influenza vs. Covid-19 , it's a number used to record deaths by seasonal respiratory illnesses.

if we weren't aware of it and testing for it, many covid-19 deaths would be classified as influenza deaths as well. But, we are.
