Conspiracy theory but may very well have merit. We, the general population, change cell numbers all the time. Sooooo there’s no real “phone book” published anymore. With tech where it is today, it would be fairly simple to connect cell numbers to devices, locations, IP addresses, etc via such calls. All that needs to happen is a call and subsequent offending number web search.

I know it sounds far fetched but there are many many reasons for this thought pattern. I hadn’t searched (scam numbers) in close to a year and nearly had no scam calls. A couple weeks ago I decided to search the numbers via a private browser... big mistake. I’ve had probably 10-12, maybe more calls since. Even had to block a couple repeat offenders.
