Like you, we had a hard time finding a DC on west coast. It took about a year. We ended up with a 2001 Boston Whaler Ventura 210. It has a small head, fresh water tank, live well, ski pylon, etc. it runs well in chip and we take it into the ocean frequently. It also had a recent repower with a Honda 225 when we purchased. It fits our needs in San Diego. We fish, Tube in SD bay; whale watch in winter, and general fun/picnicking year round. It can be a cold ride, so we just add layers depending on season.

In that year, I think we only saw a couple other DC on west coast but we’re in sad shape. In the last mint or so, I think I ran across smaller Ventura’s for sale. I think one was in LA area and one was on lake Powell as a rental boat...
