3 year leasing is the way to go, based on pricing and reliability. They start to have lots of expensive problems at about the 3 year mark. If you go used, definitely get CPO, but even then, who wants a car thats in the shop all the time.

The X5s with the base inline 6 models have awful steering. They just will not settle down and track straight at highway speeds, they wander horribly. I hated taking my wife's on road trips. Caranddriver felt the same in the last comparison test and ranked it last.

We traded it early on the v8 model, which has a different steering system and it is night and day better.
