The tide was rushing out, he couldnt ride a wave in and stay behind it (the waves were stationary and the current was rushing out like rapids in a river). I dont think that guy did much wrong-- looked like he had the engines trimmed up, bow as high as he could get the cat, and he was was going slow and just edged up to the wave. Low freeboard/low bow height and entered what was essentially white water rapids. The wave behind him closed the gap withe the wave he was riding up and the rear got lifted and stuffed his bow. It could of been done but he wasnt that far off nor your typical Jackass that had a major screw up. Plus I give him props for turning around, gunning it and getting the water out of the swamped boat. Looks like he salvaged an almost disaster.
