Well we went out today and ended up missing an Ono on a dinner bell. I did tell my friend that they are best suited to higher speeds and that he may want to use them when running out to a FAD or maybe try the high speed thing in close to shore later in the year. The thing is being that the island is a mountain in the middle of the ocean it doesn’t take very long to find blue water and I would guess the best Ono area is only a couple of miles offshore at best. Anyway we were happy to at least have one on considering it’s not even close to peak season for them. Ended up with 5 nice Mahi Mahi even though we were struggling putting fish in the boat (we lost 6 others). Thanks for all the input.
