I have a ProMariner on my Edgewater 268, came with the vessel new, has been working just fine for the last 2 years, and never had an issue with starting the engines and killing the charger still connected to shore power. It is a ProSport 20 model.

I also put a ProMariner in my Pathfinder, no issues. I like the ability of the ProSport 20 amp 2 bank charger to distribute the full 20 amps to whatever battery needs it, not limited to 10 amps per battery.

I do not run a remote panel of any kind. The ProMariner remote bank status monitor panel connects directly to the batteries, so do not understand how this can affect the chargers on shore power ? Maybe you are talking about some other panel I am not aware of.
