Your images show the Evinrude G2s mounted as low as they will go. Unless your stern-bracket is positioned abnormally high, most G2 installations will have the motors mounted several holes up. They run higher on the transom than other makes of motors.

Watch your anti-ventilation plates at cruising or high speeds, trimmed for best performance, and see if they are on top of the water flow.

My guess is that you will see even better performance and economy with the motors raised up several holes, but fine-tuning does take trial and error.
