Default Dana Point question

I was visiting your very nice facility this past week. I stayed nearby (visiting daughter) and walked to the harbor every day. Frequented Turk's among others . Overall, I was surprised at the abundance of stern drives and I studied the "side-boards" on your trailers. The side-boards were interesting. On to the question.....there was a silver/gray open style boat with twin Hondas that looked different than anything I have seen. It's docked in the East harbor, island side, sort of in front of the second administrative building east of the bridge. It has a strange round pilot house but a nice wide beam and a nice looking hull. I think it had "Neato" on the side. Any ideas or have any of you seen this vessel? Another one....who owns the Elliot "Ozzy?"

Welcome, and enjoy your stay.

My slip is in that area, on Dock F, but I don't recall the boat you are talking about. I'll take a look this weekend.

I was surprised how reasonable the fees were. How long is the waiting list?

Long....depending on how long your boat is. =25 can be a couple of years....or more.

I don't recall any boats in there looking like that either, but will keep an eye out for it.

Not bad, though...especially the rates. I would have expected twice that considering the price of everything else in the area. Except beer. It also surprised me that the state park allows bonfires. I thought our west coast was the home of everything smokeless. Anyway, it was fun to walk accross PCH and mess around with a fire in the evening.

You can't miss the boat. Just look to your left as you come to the second administrative building island side on the east side of the bridge. It's only about the 3rd or 4th boat away from the sidewalk.

Good eye, TG. That's an Edwards 30, designed by famous surfer-shaper-catamaran designer Phil Edwards, and built by Dencho Marine in Long Beach. Optimized for adventure-boating in outer Channel Islands. 300 galls fuel cap! A pic on the Dencho site under powerboats: http://www.denchomarine.com/powerboats.html
Not affiliated etc, just an adjacent dockmate...

That's it!!! I knew someone would know. It's quite an eye catcher. Not sure I like the curved pilot house but the hull is sweet.
