Default So Cal Boating and Fishing

Who keeps a boat in So Cal? I keep mine in MDR. I fish bass in the spring and offshore varieties in the summer and fall. I do mainly multi day trips when the tuna and marlin are in range.

Good luck this weekend. I stay out of the bay on derby days; too many boats.

I do, I'm in Long Beach.
I hit the island in the winter time for the yellowtail bite (if its on). Spend the summer hunting Sand Bass, and the fall dragging lures for the infamous stripers.

I have an arima sea chaser 19'er that I use to fish out of Dana Pt. and also out of Long Beach. I mainly fish the local kelp but have taken it to catalina twice. Sure hope the fishing starts up soon.
tight lines,
DJ

I keep my boat in the water in Dana Pt.

Winter-early spring is halibut/rock cod time, late spring/early-mid summer is sharks/seabass/yellowtail time and then late summer/fall is sharks/yellowtails/seabass/exotics (marlin, dorado, tuna)
