hwbjr,
I was just joking about the fridge comment.

I forgot to mention that one of the biggest pro's about the outboard 3070 is the performance. When thinking about the Vancouver Island trips there can be some long stretches of water on the way back that when the water is decent allow for a fast time home. We cruised at 40mph for a good chunk of our run home last year at 1.4mpg and we were loaded up. The motors love that speed. Our avg cruise is the low to mid 30's getting 1.6 mpg. I remembered the Whaler being a bit slower and I know those Verado's get thirsty at high rpm. The whaler site has the 250's getting only 0.92 mpg at the 40mph mark.

The best was at 26.4mph with 1.35mpg. The 275's will only be slightly different and on a long Nootka trip you will really feel that. Also when fishing it is only 2-3 guys so we don't need the mid berth at all it is just a space for clothes and we load up the hydraulic storage in the boats mid section with all sorts of fishing gear. Really a fishing option. When cruising I keep a yamaha 8 horse down there with a bunch of other stuff. Just a few things I thought about after my original email.
Also IMC just took on trade a 3070 that was the hull after hours. It is rigged 95% the same as our boat (cheaters, I could not believe it when I saw the boat). Anyhow that might be a rig worth looking at. The owners just took delivery of a 3370.

. That's all, let me know if you have any questions and I do realize that I am rather biased.
