anybody else fishing in puerto penasco (rocky point) mexico? i am from phoneix arizona and have been fishing down their for almost 30 years.

Hi Ric,
We're also from Phoenix, but we go down a little further to San Carlos. We have the Marinas and a little better fishing.
Where do you put your boat in, Cholla Bay?

Yes, i launch out of cholla bay......a good marina in puerto penasco would sure be nice. several marinas are planned for but i am not holding my breath. there is definatelly much better surface fishing action in san carlos but the fishing in puerto penasco has improved a lot over the last 6-7 years.....the grouper fishing has come back strong especially. let me know if you ever decide to give it a try and i can meet you down there.

I lived in Hermosillo and fished out of San Carlos for about 20 years. Now fishing out of Puerto Vallarta. Let me know if you want to hook up and take a crack at some big tuna in late summer.
