Default Seattle fishing?

Any help on a charter out of Seattle? I know the ling Cod is not in season in the middle of September but what about Halibut or other bottom fish?- Not much on salmon fishing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Not much to catch right now in the Sound except Salmon.

You would need to go out to Neah Bay if you want to chase bottom fish and then catch a ride with one of the charters that go up to the Canadian side. There are a handful of good operators up there. Jambos is one that I know does a good job. The charter boats may all be focused on Salmon right now though.

Here is a good place to start. http://www.google.com/search?client=...UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

September around Seattle is Coho salmon time. No bottom fishing to be had that time of year. If you decide you want to charter for salmon the best charter around is Gary Krein's All Star Charters:

Yeah, there's really no halibut in the Sound, and ling cod season is already over. How can you say you're "not much on salmon" but want to fish for lingcod? Salmon is more fun to catch, more fun to cook, and tastes a lot better.

Salmon is pretty much what we fish for here. The others are consolation prizes (except halibut, but that's a whole different deal). This time of year, pretty much everything's running, King, Coho, and especially Humpies. If you go to the right spots, humpie fishing can be about as action-packed as salmon fishing gets around here. The fish aren't very big (my catch the other day was just 3#), but with light tackle, they are really fun to boat.
