I may get to Laguna Niguel for business in the next two months or so. While I won't have time to get away, I wondered if it was worth considering fishing from shore in the early morning or evening one or two days? If so, I might bring a travel rod and reel. What do you think, is it worth trying some shore fishing there or are fish not available? Thanks.

Shore Fishing... Corbina or Surf Perch or Halibut
Need a CA DFG fishing license on the beach. Do not need one on the piers. (I think)

Corbina fishing on the beach in the foamy shallow water with small sand crabs is easy and fun on light line. Talk to the local bait and tackle shops for beach suggestions.

Long casts to the outside for perch and maybe a small halibut may be good fun too.
