Default how we doing for blackmouth this nov?

i have not been doing well but others at the marina seem to be doing good. any tips? btw, the pt no pt light house was signalling to a towboat and barge 2 prolonged blasts and then a prolonged pause. anyone know this signal? it was quite annoying while i was fishing the pt.

What are you using? How deep? how fast? etc etc etc...

Sounds like the foghorn signal. Check the charts for the pattern at Pt no PT. It says 2 horn blasts with 30 second pause. I believe it is automated and may have been triggered by the aproaching vessel.

I fished Pt Defiance this morning but nothing shaking for me.
I'm pretty much a rookie and still trying to figure it al out.
Didn't see anyone else catching anything either though.

I lived t PT no Pt for a few years. I miss the place. I fished two or three days a week either from a 12' smoker craft or casting flys off the beach in the rip. Try small herring near the bottom on the edge of the drop offs. Dodgers always worked better for me than flashers and e chips but YMMV.

I fish out of the Everett Marina (12th St Marina). Hat Island has been pretty good the last week or so. 8-2 is still open. The squid are in so I use the mini-white glow squid behind a green glow hot spot flasher. The purple Silver Horde Sonic Edge (UV) has also been producing.

Hi Mike,

Not quite 60 but a huge fish for a waterfront Seattle King. Kathy (my wife) caught it and will recieve the Puget Sound Anglers Big Fish Award 2007 at the upcoming Dec PSA meeting in Edmonds. A couple of years ago we won the largest halibut award. Luckily we are able to put in a lot of time fishing so the odds are better. Do you have the new 250 Suzuki 4-strokes on that GW.....I love those outboards !

I have been doing better this year than I have in many past blackmouth seasons..I fished Jeff Head at the end of October and limited both days, the second with 2 rookies who both managed to catch legal fish. I fish often out of Des Moines since I live down there and on Nov 17 we slammed them at Dolphin Point..3 fish limit in 45 minuts and back in for breakfast. I fished this past Saturday but it was slower. We managed one keeper at Manchester but it was a nice one - 9 pounds.

I mooch so no comments on gear. Looks to be a bit nasty this weekend so may take it off.

I am just going to light up the boat for the Everett Boat Parade and take a couple weeks off fishing. Hate to lose 300 feet of lights and an 8ft Santa with reindeer !

Spud I am also in the 12th street Marina. Your boat looks very well equipped for fishing. I have the Ocean 40 SS over on E dock. I see you down there quite a bit. You are normally coming or going from fishing while myself and or my dad are working on the boat. Hopefully by spring we will have the boat dialed in and ready to fish. I would like to pick your brain as to how well you can troll and fish the Riviera. I plan on installing trolling valves at some point this winter and have heard both good and bad about mechanical systems.

Sorry for the derail of the thread.

Thanks,

PSW
