Default Lake Washington - Advice Needed

I'm planning to trailer my 18-foot center console to Lake Washington (Seattle) sometime this summer for a few days of exploring. First trip there, so I can use advice on ramps, things to see, restaurants, places to stay etc.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

You should consider just putting your boat in the Sound. The lake is O.K but not very exciting. There are a few places to eat like Leschi. Lake Union has a few spots. If you are in the sound you can get over to the Kitsap side and see some neat little towns. Bainbridge or Kingston are much more interesting.

Thanks, edyer. Where's a good ramp to launch in the Sound? I'll be coming up I-5 from Oregon.

There are two that are pretty decent. Shilshole Marina and Don Armeni ( sp?) in West Seattle. Shilshole is in Ballard which is a little farther north. You can leave your trailer overnight there. The west seattle ramp is the one I usually use for day trips.
You are pretty much right downtown there also. Pm me if you want more info or call 509-899-2797.

If you are coming up on I-5 from Oregon, you could get on Highway 16 off of I-5 and hit Kitsap side. There are several nice places to put your boat in over there. The SIlverdale marina is the cheapest for guest moorage (5 dollars a night for 27' and under). From there you are just a little ways off from Blake island which is always a nice stop to see, and several other places.
