Hein Bank is a long haul from Shilshole..I fished that 2 weeks ago and launched from Cornet Bay even though I live south of Seattle. Even from Cornet Bay it is a 20 mile ride out to Hein. We got our lings from the reefs on the south side of Lopex Island but got skunked at Hein for Halibut.

Good Luck

It seems like all the fishing trips are getting longer every year. With gas prices going the way they have been the cost of fish is about $80. per lb now. Next week I am going to the store and have the fish guy throw me a salmon so I can say I.... "caught ".....it.

no luck on those reefs south of lopez today.

really tough for a 20 ft boat too.

and it was difficult to maintain a position and fish by myself.
