Default Chevy vs Ford Crew Cab Question

Would anyone happen to know between Chevy and Ford which might have the larger crew cab? Plan on shopping around this summer and would prefer the most interior space possible.

Ford hands down has more interior space but the inside of chevys/gmc trucks are like the inside of a tahoe...extremely comfortable, but deffinatly more compact

In what series truck? Are you really going to notice the 1-2 CF difference or the few inches of legroom? How much time do you think you will spend in the backseat? Drove and F350 CC for 13 years and don't ever remember anyone complaining about the size of the backseat or running out of room.

Z71 Silverado half ton vs the F150. If you're telling me there is no noticeable difference with regards to interior space, then my question has been answered.

I have owned both in the last year. The Ford Crew Cab "feels" and looks bigger than the Chevy.

I had a 2007 Sierra CC and now own a 2012 F150 CC, the f150 has a good bit more legroom could be due to the fact that the Fords rear floor is flat with no hump where as the GM/ Chevy has the hump in the middle.

The interiors of the half-tons are pretty comparable, but in the 3/4 ton the Ford has a significantly larger back seat.

I had an F150 CC and now have an F350 CC and the back seat in the 350 is huge, is the 1/2 and 3/4 ton Chevy the same body?

Not to disrespect your thread choices, but if interior space and comfort, especially in the back seat is real important (with rear seats that recline 8"), take a look at the RAM Megacab.

just sayin

The mega cab is freaking huge. You don't want to own one in Florida in the middle of summer. I am not sure if they changed it but the a/c system needed to be a lot bigger to cool the cab. A friend had a gasser Mega cab and I sat in the back for a quick trip to Tampa (1 hr and 15 min) in the middle of summer and SOB was that uncomfortable.

As far as cab size, the ford crew cab is quite a bit larger than the Chevy. The extra cab Chevy is larger than the Ford in either the 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton.

I have owned the Gmc 2500 crew cab and now have the extended cab

For seat down back storage I would buy another crew cab 2500.

I am not too sure about the GM back seats, but the F150 feels massive. There is a lot more room in the 150 CC than a Super Duty CC.

Let's put it this way. I have the Chevy1500 Crew Cab and I prefer to take it to the Keys (10 plus hours) rather than the Cadillac CTS. You cant beat the comfort and ride. 21 to 22 mpg @ 73mph

If you are not planning to shop until summer then you might as well wait and see what the 2014 Silverado is going to offer.
