Default Stuck CD in 04 Dodge

Had a CD, Van Halen 2, in truck in cd player other day and I can not get it to eject. I push the mode and it stays on radio, almost like it is not recognizing there is a cd in there. It was playing fine but I got out of the truck and when I got back in it would not play/eject or anything

Anyway to get them out of there, I have looked at all the buttons and stuff but can not seem to get it to eject

It is not a "homemade cd", store bought if that matters

At least it isn't Yanni, John Tesh or some other crap like that.

You're gonna need a Ford to get it out.

Interesting that you post that. When I bought my 04 I had it for several months before I tried to put a cd in it. It wouldn't go in. I found that there was one in it already. It wouldn't eject. I could play it, but it wouldn't come out. Every time I got in the truck I hit the eject button. Finally it came out. Sometimes cds go in and out fine, but every now and then one goes in and it's in there for months. I just keep hitting the button and eventually it comes out. Logic says put in a good one so that if it sticks at least I have good music to listen to. The other side of that is if it sticks I'll never get it back, so do I want to put one that I really like in there. If you figure it out, let me know.

Yep that Dodge MADE radio is a POS , I get a kick out of people saying stuff like this " my XXXX outboard suks, the racor is clogged up " Like it's the motors fault.

And one of my favorites is ...."My Honda 4 stroke" .....When has Honda made a 2 stroke ?

I took our Honda van in for service with the same issue. They replaced the radio and were quite pleased with themselves when they presented me with the damaged cd that was stuck in the radio. It was some kind of girly music my wife was listening to. At least yours is VH2.

try disconnecting the power to the radio altogether...reconnect and the reboot might or might not help...sometimes theyll do funny things...its worth a shot...

Does it have one of those holes you can stick a paper clip in like a computer cd drive?

Try disonnecting the trucks battery. Maybe itŽll reset. Then install some ZZ Top or ACDC and yoiuŽll be good to go.

Did take my truck to haul off trash this afternoon and the cd will play but will still not eject.

Guess I will try the battery disconnect when I get time, VH2 one of my favorite albums so do not mind listening to it

Tprice, I have a ford six disc in dash that will do that. if I bang on the dash board (gentle) over the radio while I activate the eject button the disc will eject every time.

Good luck.
