Just a question [ for everyone] ...

Bill, that was just a 3.5k trailer , now , what if you towed like some of these other guys here on this site and pulled like say 7K . How long before you lost it on the HWY?

You can put a Class V hitch on anything BUT it can be ripped of of anything.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Bill, not bashing you , just using your frame Failure as an example.

It's a VERY valid point, Welder. I'm real diligent about maintenance, and was checking the bolts when I noticed it. Probably happened from years of vibration. It was barely noticeable, btw.

Sure, I occasionally tow my 24' Blackfin to the ramp 2 miles away with a very marginal trailer. Don't even have brakes. However, this is under controlled circumstances, and doesn't mean everyone else should do it.

What you CAN do and what you SHOULD do are 2 different things.
