I guess that would be true for people who dont even look at their tires let alone check the pressure every once in a while. Come on, be serious. Now your going to hope the nitrogen will keep your tires inflated/ Will it stop a small leak or bad valve stem from bleeding down the tire? No. just keep you tires filled to the proper pressure and check often. i check my truck a few times a month.

Glad to see I have company I asked this several months ago and got blasted.... NASCAR, Indy Racers and air craft use Nitrogen for the consistant air presure at any temp. Plus, tires wear much better with the nitrogen. Better millage, we ran the nitrogen in my wife's jeep and did not see any difference. Trailer tires and heat, H2O is just a good in my opinion. There is a place for it as listed above but the average vehicle and trailer, I don't think so after my trial run. We just happen to be in the trucking industry and haven't seen any nitorgen requested on new truck builds and our friend that sells truck tires has not mentioned it either.
