Don't buy a Cadillac SRX. I own one and its the biggest piece of shit I have ever owned. Thank God I bought the extended warranty.

I've been looking at the GX 470. Those are very nice. I think an RX or a Toyota Highlander are good choices.

i know its big but i got a Tahoe now and wouldn't trade it for the world, maybe a Escalade or Denali but mostly for the bigger engine.

I have a 2008 Yukon Denali and I am very happy with it. Very comfortable daily driver and problems at all.

I have a 2004 Yukon XL and the thing drives great but it does suck up some gas. My wife now drives that and I'm driving her Jeep Grand Cherokee which I hate but it much better on gas.

Another vote for the Tahoe. I get 20 mpg on the freeway at 70 mph non -towing. Between 12 and 13 towing 5600# (freeway). No idea and don't care about around town.

I mean look at this thing. Its such a great all round vehicle. Ive only towed it a few miles for gas a few times but it did fine.
To me a lexus rx is really more of a lifted car, rather then an suv.

Love the new gmc's - like the ford edge too and explorer - i know the explorer especially holds a bad hype with its name but the new ones are really something to look at.

The Honda Pilot is worth a look. Sounds like it will suite your needs well. It's ride and ability is impressive.

I'll put my plug in for the Fords. Since you have another tow vehicle, shop the Edge or Flex. The Flex has a 365hp option if you want power with the looks.
Have fun shopping!
