I have a nephew with a 99 Honda civic, got it for his bday in March. He claims it now has $2000 worth of stereo in it aand $1500 in wheels and tires. Pretty cool sittin next to my sisters house because he has no money for insurance. He's pissed at me right now because I won't loan it to him (meanwhile, uncle Mikee pays the college tuition)... Won't stoop to work at the WAWA... I guess thats where I was comin from, he'd spend $2k to tell his buds about the stereo, but not save enough to pay for insurance

I have a 95 Tahoe. At about 90,000 miles the stock shocks would bottom out in the cold, so I waited for a sale at Sears and had them replaced with Monroe Sensatrac's last Christmas. $200 for all four shocks installed. FOr mostly highway driving you can't beat the Sensatrac's.....I had them on my old Bronco too.

Looks like maybe you should up start pissing away a little money on preventive maintenance before you get to Florida ...
