Default Looking for an odd part

I'm not even sure this is made.

I'm looking for a heavy duty welded D Ring fixed on a piece of galvanized steel that I can U-Bolt around the tongue of my trailer.

Anybody know of such a part?

I've seen something similar at a marine supply store. Two flat plates welded together at a 90 degree angle, perpendicular piece contains a 3/4 in. hole. Designed to bolt to the tongue of a trailer for a bow tie-down. You could use a screw clevise along with the piece that I described to get what you're looking for.

Only problem with having one made at a fab shop is that it probably won't be galvanized, though I have had good luck with CRC zinc galvanizing spray.

That is very similar to what I am looking for abfish.
Sounds near perfect for my application.

Try a search for either something like a trailer tie down ring or trailer tie down d-ring. We used to buy them for various projects and either bolt or weld them down depending on the application.

Something like this? http://www.etrailer.com/pc-TIE~LRB1.htm

Although this design will not allow you to Ubolt around the tongue, but your local weld shop could burn it on fairly easily.

You might even have some luck at a 4x4 parts warehouse, a bolt-on recovery eye.

I bought something similar to what you are looking for at Champion Trailer, they have a pretty good website.

I have an old bolt-on eye from a F-250, it's heavy.
You can have it for shipping costs.
Might want to look local first though, might be cheaper than shipping costs.
