Default Trailer lights question

I feel really stupid. I just rigged lights on my trailer, everything works great except when I press the brakes the tail lights go out instead of getting brighter.

Please help
thanks
KW

Make sure brown is hooked to tail........... and ...........green and yellow are hooked to turn/stop. Otherwise its probably a grounding issue.
