They ride the same unloaded. The 350 has blocks that helps keep the rear axle suspended when you get a really heavy load in the bed or on the hitch/fifthwheel.
You want notice a difference unless you are putting two tons in the bed or combining a heavy bed load with a lot of hitch weight.
Most people get by just fine with a F250 vs F350 and if they dont, they add air bags for the rear springs oin the 250 just for leveling. The running gear and axles and trannies are the same F250 vs F350 for single rear wheel with same options. F350 dually is only slightly different..then you get into rear end ratios not available on the single rear tire SuperDuties.

im trying to figure out if my 2003 expedition has the towing package or atleast a transmission cooler, are there any websites I can go to and plug in the vin# and find this info out, bought the truck used, so i just dont know wht I have on it. Thx.
You need to open another thread about your EXPY. This was about F250's/350's
Your VIN says what you have. Go to Ford Trucks. I think FTE.com. Post your message there they can decode your factory VIN there and tell you exactly what's on your EXPY for towing.
Maybe I helped anyway???

Emblems, spring spacers and a higher GVWR tag are about it. Make sure there's no limit on what you can drive in your state. Some states require a different class to drive trucks over 10,000 GVWR.
The dealer sent me the Oasis report for the truck that I was looking at. How do you decipher them. Looks like they had to replace the transmission temp gauge, internal transmission harness adn the tft sensor. Is that a big deal? The trucks got 58k miles on it now, had the warranty work done at 51k. Thanks for the help!
if i'm not mistaken, the rear axle on the two trucks are different as well. The 350's axle is large and will handle more of a load. You can add all the spacers, air bags, and whatever else, but the axle will only take so much(although in these trucks, it's alot)

I'm afraid you are mistaken as the rear axels are the same - the only difference in the F350 vs the F250 (other than the badging and spring spacers - as kerno said) is that the F350 can carry 1,000 pounds more weight in its bed. When comparing comparably equipped trucks, they both have the same towing capacity, brakes, same size axles, etc., etc.

I have a F250 that came with the 'camper package' which means it has, "extra heavy service front springs, rear stabilizer bar, slide-in camper certification, rear auxiliary springs" from the description I found. Anybody know how this compares capacity wise to a F350? Does the camper package enable you to carry more load in the bed that a standard F250?
