What do you think you can buy a 2009 F250 or GMC Sierra 2500 for? Both would need to be diesel, crew cab,4WD. I read about a guy here who bought a GMC for $30K brand new but it was an 2008. I would love to find a deal like that on 2009, but anything at 35K seems to be hard to find.
give it another month or so when the 2010 models are out and the dealers need to clear out the 09s, the 09s should be going much cheaper, it just may be harder to find something with all the options you want
Stock is very low right now, and will probably not be getting any better any time soon, plus the rebates are not very good right now, seems like they are limiting supply at least in the north east so they do not have to give them away for $10k to $12k under sticker again.

Exactly true! I just went to a very large volume Ford place and they only had one 2009 F-250 4x4 diesel. I was getting ready for a test drive when the salesman got a call saying the truck was sold.
There were a few others around at other dealers, but they were not giving them away!

Diesel truck stocks are very low right now. Most dealers are going to be getting very few new trucks unless customer ordered until the 2011's come out. Fords 2011 with new motor will hit lots around late march 2010 and GM has said they don't plan on having new duramax that will pass increased emission standards until 4th quarter 2010.
Interesting. I just sold a low mileage '04 diesel, and I had a backup list of interested parties. Few months ago I couldn't give it away. Had at least 3 dealers call, and one was interested enough that we got to within $1000 of agreeing on a price.

Bought an 09 Silverado 2500HD 4x4 Duramax crewcab about 3 wks ago. Duramax/Allison is a 10K option which puts msrp between 46K and 56K depending on other goodies. I found a blue one in San Diego (I'm in LA area) at 48K msrp. There were only 2 blue ones in entire Southern CA area from border to Bakersfield, lots of white/black/some silver, most loaded with leather, nav, et al for 52 to 56K.
For cash deal I got them to come down 10K, about 41K out the door. Seemed reasonable to me.
Bought a new 08' Duramax LT2 in April, 2009 for $29,250. Plus I got a $500 gift card from Lowes and a $750 credit off of the sales price through Chevy (owner loyalty program).
I just bought the Sierra Denali this past saturday. I worked with the GMC online assistant to locate this vehicle, turns out there were only 3 09's built to my specs in a 1000 mile radius. The dealer was happy to give it to me for invoice minus incentives. I took the 0.0 for 5 years. 2 days before I picked it up, they called to let me know GMC was giving me another 1k off. This of course is not the vehicle you are looking for but the point I'm making is that, in my opinion, the incentives are about as agressive as they are going to get for 09 trucks so if you find one you like...jump on it.
