How is that spam. This is a trailer thread and this product is a boat and trailer all in one. We are a manufacturer trying to get feedback on our product. The best feedback is the publics opinion...what better place then here.
I agree that to have a manufacture make a post about a new or unique product is not spam in my book. While I don't need that I think it is an interesting product.

We apologize for posting our product in this forum. We as manufacturer really like the public to voice their opinion about our product. Going into a forum like this we get great feedback on what people like and what people would change...which in the end benefits our customers and us. Again, we apologize for trying to get in direct contact with the average Joe about our product...Really thought people might appreciate a manufacturer that takes the time to talk to the people that matter the most...the customer.

If you had stated to begin with
Hi, my name is ----- I work for ------ we are trying to get feedback on this product ----
it would have been a non-issue.
However, you didn't and instead pretended to be joe schmo forum user.
Who gives a sh-t if your first post was about getting feedback om your own product..........You have been above board about it almost immediately, which the important thing!!
Geeeez in all the spammers I have seen on here over the years............You aint even close to qualifying!!! There have many douchebag spammers that post once and never come back. Hang tight , you will get product feedback eventually.....You are ok in my book
Nice product, I think it will have alot of useful applications for marinas, or anyone hauling bigger items up rivers or to island (inshore) homes. I also appreciate that you seem to sincerely care about the average Joes opinion
It is a great looking product . But for my applications I would requirea semi V hull. Just because my waters are very turbulent and I'd get beat to death with a squard bow.
And that's what sets us apart from other flat bottom boats...our boat design offers stability and a smooth ride. Our company also builds offshore v bottoms as well but there is something about the ride on our flat bottom that makes me keep choosing it over the v bottoms. Yes flat bottoms do slap a bit but I've been in numerous v bottoms that feel like your teeth are going to rattle loose...The beautiful thing about our flat bottom design is that you don't get to much of the side to side sway like you would in a v bottom. We fish 7 miles offshore in Lake Erie and when the water is choppy, 85% of the time we are the only boat out there. The other beautiful thing about flat bottoms is that you can get into more shallow areas then you can with a v bottom. Equipped with an outboard jet drive our flat bottom design can cruise over 7" of water...while carrying 600lbs of lumber
Cool product but I'd focus it more on freshwater enthusiasts. I suspect most of the 'hull truth' users are saltwater guys, and having tires etc in salt water wouldn't be the best for this design.
Also, I dislike the 'pull backwards' element of the design because when getting out of the water, it requires the user to back in to boat ramps, risking prop damage. I like keeping my prop as far away from the bottom as possible. :-)
Potentially, some user will have the motor in gear while someone else tries to hitch, and that is just bad ju-ju (technical term, meaning f*d up). I can see a swift current being a challenge too, while you are cranking down wheels and trying to hitch up.
All in all, a neat product, very niche oriented. Aimed at the right demographic there is potential. Crappy timing for a product introduction in this economy, though. Good luck!

Come on! Is he bending the rules? yes. Its so unique that its OK in my book. Maybe if he said? anyone ever seen this new unique trailer I build! Or what do you think of this Idea?

It's up to the mods to decide what to allow. Personally I wouldn't have cared if he had rephrased it as
"We have introduced a new utility trailer. We thinks it's the ultimate and a must have for anyone looking for a new trailer/boat. What do you guys think of it? "
At least in this case it invites discussion, good or bad. If your going to break the rules and advertise in the forum, then at least take a risk and pretend to be trying to have an have a discussion about a product (oh yeah and admit it's your product!)
