Go here: http://www.thedieselstop.com/

then go to the Forum, and then to the 2008-up SuperDuties, then post your question in the '08-up Upgrades and Aftermarket.

Youmight try the Search function first, as there is a world of Ford truck knowledge on this site, including LOTS of tire information.

I would say a 35x12.5" on the stock wheels. Aftermarket wheels with more offset will make things more prone to rubbing.

The only way he's getting 35's on the stock rims is with a leveling kit...

MSparks909,
I know plenty of folks running 35's on stock f250's. 33's look like little training wheels on those trucks. Have you seen how big the wheel wells are on the new fords? There are people running 37's with just a leveling kit.

It really depends on the offset of the rim. More offset on a rim will more likely cause rubbing like tuna truck said. A friend of mine has 35's with a leveling kit and it looks pretty good. I have 38's on my truck with a 8" lift but I have rubbing on the trac bar but thats it.

I have BFG 285/70/17's on my 2007 F250 and have no clearance issues. I'm not sure what that equates to in inches, but they look a whole lot more proportionate than the 265's that came on it.
My last truck was a 2003, and I put 295/75/16's on it and had to add a leveling kit.

A friend of mine has an 08 F250. The day after he bought it, he had 35x12.50x20's mounted on the stock wheels with a leveling kit.. Leveling kits are cheap, and the truck looks very nice..

stock 08 on stock 20's

with 2" leveling kit and an f-350 rear block on 35" Toyo M/T's

paid 500 bucks for the kit and new shocks...aftermarket shocks make it ride better. 350 blocks you can get for literally nothing

Rancho is on the FX4...i dunno what Ford uses on the others. I used a BDS leveling kit. The leveling kit gave that nose high look without anything being done in the rear. A SRW f-350 has something like 1 1/2" or 1 5/8" more in the rear, so the 2" up front goes well with the 1 1/2" extra in the back

I run a F250 with stock tires. Considering changing my tires, what are the performance pros and cons for going with the larger tires?

If you change a stock 30.5 inch diameter tire to a 35 inch, it's like changing the differential from 3.73 to 3.25. Not the greatest idea for towing.

Just FYI, the tires that come on the factory 20" wheels measure out to almost 33"s so bumping up to 35's is not that big of a jump... but it will slightly raise your overall effective gear ratio (slightly less rpm for a given speed). These trucks should come with 35's... anything smaller looks like training wheels.

I actually think the Good Years that are on the stock 20's have a lil over 34" dia. I noticed no difference in my Speedo compared to the one on the side of the road that shows your mph.

the smaller tires and wheels make the chevys and dodges look rough...
