Try and get a report of any warranty work done, if excessive, you might pass. Dealer might give it to you or there are some sites you can post the VIN and someone will help.

I guess good or bad feedback is comparative to what you know already. What are you comparing it to; different model, brand or price?

I have both a 2005 and a 2006 Lariat with the 6.0 and am very happy with both of them. The 05 had turbo replaced under warratny at 46,000 miles. I'm still not sure why, because I never saw a problem with it. I'd sent it in for routine service and got it back with a new turbo on it.

Ford, unlike the other two major players, is not in bankruptcy. As the money dries up, I suspect the willingness of manufacturers to pay warranty claims goes with it.

One other comment: Check with your state to see what GVW requires a commercial driver's license. An F250 has a door jamb sticker which rates the truck at 10,000 pounds, which is the limit for my state. If it was an F350 (same truck, different rear sprigs and emblems) I'd need at CDL to drive it while towing a trailer.

The weight has to exceed 26,000 for my state to require a CDL. What site can I go to to check the warrnty claims on this engine? Thanks for the help
