Why have a spray-in bed liner put in a new truck? It seems to me a better idea would be to use the truck a few years and let it get some wear on it, then have the liner sprayed in. Not only would it look like new, it would be new.
If you want a bedliner to keep things from sliding around, to dampen noise, or just for looks, why wait a few years for it? Get it now.
For that matter, it will be easier for the installer to do a good job on a new truck because there won't be oil, grease, or other grime on the surface.
I had a Line-X liner put in my truck when it was new in 2003 and it's been all I expected.
Another vote for Line-X. When I got my 1500 W/T I looked at a bunch. Rhino was one of them. In the end, NOTHING beats Line-X. Slip the guy who is doing he application an extra $100 or so and ask him to put down a "commercial thickness" -- it is usually about 25% thicker and worth EVERY penny. The stuff is totally awesome.
I like the Rhino stuff. Had my current truck sprayed when new...7 yrs and 199,526 miles ago and the I've got a couple of nicks caused by throwing things like shovels and heavy gear in, but if I took the time to bring it back, they'd fix it for free. I also had my last truck sprayed with Rhino. 275,000 miles. I'm an electronics contractor and am always throwing and carrying stuff in my bed. It gets LOTS of wear and tear.
To me, the Rhino is superior to all the others including Linex because it's softer and keeps stuff from slidng around back there much better than the hard stuff like Linex.
I had my Rhino Liner color matched to a red truck and it has faded pretty badly. So beware of that potential. My truck is in Hawaii and the tropical sun is strong. But it has shrugged off everything I've hit it with, including today's dumping of construction debris into the bed with a skip loader There were chunks of block, re-bar and rocks. The Rhino liner just doesn't care.
I did it when the truck was new so that the primer and paint was intact underneath. I am not convinced that bare metal cannot rust underneath it.
I had a Rhino put in my 2009 Silverado, paid 400.00 total (included Tax). Make sure you deal with them as in this economy some decent deals are to be had.

Line X rocks. i haul everything from dirt/gravel etc. wood mostly goes on racks anyhows. if i needed furniture hauled, liner or not you use pads, the comment about abrading with linex I do not buy this myself. it be that soft you need a pad no matter what and cargo is not secured in the bed to slide around. 600 clams here on cape cod done in Chatham and great job, line x over rails, they pulled the bed bolts and sprayed then put bolts back. make sure they do that. same for tailgate, they pulled the access panel and sprayed, so bolts are unsprayed. I am impressing with the presentation, installation, service and quality of the Qwikliner bedliner. It all added up to a great product. After the lining was installed, I naturally started to notice other spray-on linings and bed-liner solutions in other trucks. None of them looked as Qwikliner

Line X
I had a line x ultra put in my truck and could not be happier. My Dad took the truck in for the appointment and made an executive decision to color match the liner. This would not have bothered when I saw it, except for the fact the truck is white. I thought that the liner would show every dark scrape and liquid I put in there. This was not the fact, and I think that it still looks as good as the day I got.
New(er) trucks should be sprayed ASAP rather than a few years down the road as new means clean bed and clean starting surface to work from.
Many dealers charge extra for prep is the bed requires rust removal, de-greasing, etc.
Particularly with spray on liners, the final product quality definitely starts with how good the surface is to begin with.
Been following this thread, and also other threads on "truckbed liners". I have found that many have used these products to apply to the decks of their fishboats, anchor wells, fish holds etc. Am looking for a great Non-Skid deck system , easy to clean (fish guts etc.) , and easy to apply. Some of the truck bed liners are slippery when wet. Others, I hear , do great. If this an idea for a different thread, or if another exists, please inform me , so as we don't waste everyone's time- Many thanks, Macc
Put a Line X in a 97 Chevy (Son in Law still driving it, looks great) Put Line X in my 08 Silverado for 330 including rails. I am a very satisfied customer. That is always the first thing to go on the new truck..

Just put color matched Line X on my 08 King Ranch. Not much experience yet, but my dog is now able to stand in the bed and move around without slipping.

After reading this thread, has anyone noticed that most of the people that are pushing qwickliner only have 1 or 2 posts. two of the posts even have a picture of the same boat with different user names. Just seems kinda strange.
That being said, I have had Line-X in my last 3 trucks, and it has held up great. It is rather abrasive, so I am careful when sliding wood and furniture on it. Not sure how much it retails for, as my dealer sprays every truck on the lot and rolls the price into the truck.

Not only that, "they" all joined the same month. So did the OP.
Do you suppose it's a plot to get free exposure for a product?
I think we've been had.
