Default towing a hydra sport 2390

Does anyone tow a Hydrasport 2390? Was looking for tow vehicle or fishing ready weight. Thanks in advance.

Yep! 2003 2400Vector with a single Yam 250 HPDI. Boat and engine (if I remember correctly) are about 5200 lbs dry. With the trailer and fluids (gas, oil, water) I figure it's probably somewhere around 6500+ lbs. Tow with a 2004 Chevy 2500HD crew 4X4 with a 6.0l gas. 9 mpg. Hope that helps!

know a guy who has one and tows with a f250 diesel. A buddy of mine used to have one he towed it with a late 90s chevy 1500 and then a early 2000s chevy 2500 with the 6.0 gas.

The Hydra Sports website has specs. It will be for the current year but should be close enough. I just pulled an '03 2600 HS Vector from Daytona to Baton Rouge (approx 850 miles) w/ a 2000 Z71 Tahoe. It wasn't ideal. It squatted the Tahoe pretty good. Thankfully I had excellent trailer brakes. But check your tongue weight, tire load capacity & hitch capacity & you should be fine.

Used to have a 2390 with twin 150 hpdi's. I think fish ready, boat weight was about 6,000 pounds, and when I say fish ready I mean ice and fuel. I was towing it with a 2005 Z71, no the best to tow up and down I-95. Then got a 2006 F-250 Diesel, didn't know it was back there. Great boat!

I have a 2000 2390CC and tow it with my 2500 Duramx. Sure beats pulling it with my 5.4L F150 I had before. It really let you know it was back and now you can't tell. Nice dry riding boat as well.

2001 2390, pulled it short distances with a tahoe, not ideal you definetly know its back there. Also had trouble on some slippery ramps when the boat was full of fuel. Now use my chevy 2500 with 6.0 gasser. Much better but you still know its back there. About 8-9 mpg towing. Its a heavy boat loaded, I would go with a 2500 or bigger truck if towing any distances.

I towed it with nissan titan and it pulled well at over 55mph. Averaged 8mpg while doing it.. close to 9k loaded.
