Default grady white total weight

This I'm sure is going too seem like a dumb question to some...
Can someone tell me the approx. weight of a Grady white 24' Offshore with hardtop and 225 engine? I am buying one and have to haul it about 400 miles. my trucks tow capacity is 6500lb.

Thanks

As a comparison, my Proline 23 Express with hardtop, 225 suzuki, and 1/4 fuel scaled a little over 7000lbs on a dual axle alum trailer. This was with minimal gear on board. I always hear that Gradys are heavy boats for their size so I am thinking you are looking at 7500lb on a light trailer. Add 500lbs for a galvanized trailer, and extra fuel and gear as you see fit. You are over the tow rating of the vehicle by a goodly margin. I tow with an Expedition rated to pull 9300lbs and would not want to use less tow vehicle. Good luck.

Post your question at the Grady owners website: www.greatgrady.com

Your can also go to the manufacturers site: www.gradywhite.com. From there you can pull up PDFs of older catalogues. All their catalogues list full specs on all models to include weight.

IMO, you're going to max out or exceed your tow capacity, especially if your fuel tanks are full.

about 3500 dry weight and add gear and motor at least 4500-5000lbs plus the trailer at about 1200--you will be flirting with the tow limit on your truck. I tow with an F 250 SD and going uphill it works to regain highway speeds but otherwise is doable. Trailer from CT to Cape cod numerous times

The GW 257 Advance I have a few years back weighed in at 7700 LOADED at the truck stop. You DO NOT want to tow that with a half-ton unless you plan on buying a few transmissions and rear ends in the near future.

My 228 semi loaded with aluminum trailer weighs about 6500. You're gonna be over the towing capacity.
