I'm in the market for a trailer for my 29' Fountain.
The boat weighs 8000# with twin 225 opti's.I'm looking for a tandem 10,000# trailer.
Anybody had any dealing with NEXTRAIL?
They can have one delivered to Va. for $4285.
Thanks for your inputs.

boy i would stay away from that trailer! i bought one for my 35 fountain lightning and it was a mistake. that trailer is cheap for a reason. get a myco!!
Another one-post wonder slamming a product then suggesting the one he shills for-how meaningful. I own a 10k gvw dual axel and it is a fantastic. Great customer service too. Ask then to do an all stainless hardware deal for you. Adds a little $$$, but well worth it...

sorry i signed up today and that was my first post. they asked for an opinion and i gave them mine. i thought i could get away with a cheap trailer with a 2 bunk system. i learned that if you want to protect your investment you need to buy the best. it would probably be a good trailer for a bass boat but not for a go fast boat
I have a 9800# loadmaster. im selling it because its too small for my 25' Parker. Make sure that 8000 includes loaded up with fuel and gear.
Thats the BEST POINT TO TAKE, If you think a 10k will do the job, Get a 12 K.. I've had a Nextrail for my 32 foot CC Crabboat and it's been a good trailer.. I think it's a 12.5K With Tri axles..I'd buy another one from them in a HeartBeat...Good People...Just go with the Stainless up grade and SS Disc brakes too...
I bought my Nextrail last year and am very happy with it. i have it loaded close to max (10,000# trailer) and it handles the boat well. I got the full stainless package, the full spare with hub, trailer mount for hub, torsion axles and tie down brakes. Delivered was low $5,000 ($5,400 I think). I have about 30 or so trips on it.
This company is some screwed up. I sent specific measurements for my 25' Sea Vee Inboard to themn 07.Angles, deadrise, everything. They sent me a trailer that had the boat sitting so low that the rudder and wheel were 7" off the ground (Float on was 12") got damaged and the bunks bent. After about a year of numerous phone calls, emails and threats of lawsuit, they finally built me a new trailer. I sent another package with measurements etc and specifically told them that the old float on trailer was set up so that the bunks up front were tapered to be about 5" lower than in the back to acheive the height ness. for proper clearance of the rudder and wheel. They sent me up a brand new trailer in 08 (for nothing) and towed the old one back to Fla. The new trailer had the bunks mounted directly to the frame like the Float on and seemed to be a much more solid 10,000lb trailer. Unfortunately, once I swapped out trailers, the clearnace in the rear was exactly the same as before. I was really pissed that they in no way listened to me and I had a new trailer with the same porblems. But what can I do now? They made the effort to give me a new trailer. I am sure thats the end of it. Now, I just have to be extremely careful in driving over areas where pavement height differs. There doesnt seem to be any quality problems with their product, but they sure dont listen to customers and once they have your money, good luck trying to get them to return your calls. If you have a basic known type of outboard powered boat, Im sure it would be ok, but I got screwed. $5.060.00
just remember you get what you pay for. i have worked on nextrail and i have 7 myco trailers so you know who i like. the nexttrail is a ok trailer. alot depends on your use. meaning how many miles a year and length of trips. most of the work i have done to nexttrail trailers is upgrades on braking systems. i have seen bad trailers in most any brand. no one company is perfect. if you have any questions please feel free to ask. myco has built a bunch of trailers all fountain models. they have specs on hand and would be more than happy to help you. www.mycotrailers.com.

I think the Nexttrail is a decent trailer if you get the correct size. It is not a Myco but it is most likely half the price. So the fact that you can buy two of these it is a good value. i have owned both and i just could not justify the cost on a Myco for my last boat.
I wanted to buy a trailer from them. I need a trailer for a 34 Venture. Min. 12000lb Cap. They tried to sell me a trailer with brakes only on one axle. I advised them of Florida law requiring brakes on ALL wheels for boat's of that weight. The price went up when brakes were added. Now I can understand upgrades with a price change....But what about them selling a 12000lb trailer and not following Florida law? Why would I buy a 12000lb trailer if I was not going to need that capacity and brake the law. Why would a trailer fabricator do this. He would not hear of any law requirments....He stated....Just don't worry about it!!!!!!!!!!!! My insurance agent made me aware that if I commit an illegal act.....ie...No brakes. The claim may not be paid!! I ran from this dealer.
Loadmaster of Ohio is the way to go. Got a 18,000 lbs, gooseneck from them and am very happy with the quality and customer service. They'll make it fit your boat exactly. I highly recommend.

Even though it is the law and you are correct, don't think this is the only trailer manufacturer that will skimp on brakes on all axles. This really should not have been a surprise to you. Most tri-axles standard here in FL have only two sets of brakes, even though its the law. But even so, a man can build a trailer anyway he wants. I think the law pertains to trailer loaded in tow. Law is for anything over 3k GVW.
