Default Collinite Paste wax on your car / truck

Any of you out there use Collinite 885 fleetwax on your car or truck. I like it on the boat and am thinking about using it on my truck. Usually use the McGuires Deep Gloss carnauba. I've got about a day's worth of polishing first then the wax.....

I've used it on my White and silver trucks...It did not turn out so good on my dark SUV...

Insulator liquid works pretty well on dark cars and it's much easier to apply than the paste.

I tried it on my truck. Meguiars Gold Class lasts longer. Save the Collinite just for the boat.

I agree with the Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax #845 being much easier to use than the paste. It lasts a pretty long time on my truck. I prefer it over the Meguire's, but both make excellent products. Use a Mother's or Meguire's Clay Bar first followed by The Collinite and you will be amazed at the results. I was surprised at the crap the clay bar was removing from our 10 year old Civic's paint even after a good scrubbing with Dawn dish washing liquid.

Yea, I've clay blocked this truck 2 times in 4 years. Hazard of owning a white truck. And being OCD. Buy a $45-50,000 truck you'd think they could cover it during delivery. I'll probably stick w/ the Meguires. I polish w #1 paint scrubber and then #2 deep gloss polish then wax....
Thanks for the input.....

I have used Collinite liquid fiberglass boat wax No. 925 (in the plastic bottle ) on my black Yukon and Black Impala afer cleaning with other stuff. It came out EXCELLENT - the highest gloss I have ever seen. I highly recommend it. My friend that details cars uses it also and clued me into it.

Collinite #925 Boat Wax and #945 Insulator Wax are the same thing; they come out of the same vat at Collinite. Just different bottles for different marketing. Both are excellent choices for cars and trucks.

I used the Collinite 476s Doublecoat Auto Wax & the wax looks exactly like the 885 Fleetwax. I had the same good results as with the 885.

I use the Colonite paste on my dark truck, but the very last step is Turtle wax zip wax in the spray bottle. Just a very little spray and wiped with with a microfiber towel.

The truck sits outside in sunlight near the ocean all the time. I refresh again in about six months with just the zip wax, but rewax complete every year. It's a 2004 model and still looks very good.
