Default Heavy Duty Bumpers ????

Guys,

I need some advice on a heavy Duty front and rear bumpers for my 05 2500 D max.

I have been seeing a lot of deer these days, any body have any recommendations ??

Would like to have a winch and aux lights while I am at it.

Thanks,

Troy

I had an ARB on my 06 which is the same body style as yours. It was the toughest bumper I've ever seen. I traded that truck in on a NBS GMC Diesel and I put one of the Ranch hand Legend bumpers on it. I had a Warn 16.5 ti mounted in the ARB bumper but decided to go with a 2 inch receiver on the Ranch Hand where I can use a prtable winch or whatever on the front. I mounted a set of PIAA Ion fog lights down low and it works great. I hit a deer in Idaho several years ago with a truck that had a factory bumper going about 80mph. Practically destroyed the truck. Insurance decided to fix it and it was over $10k to fix and I was without my truck for 2 weeks. The aftermarket bumpers can really save your butt. Road armor makes a pretty nice one as well but not sure they are better for the money. Good luck.

I have ranch hands front and rear they are super heavy duty and weigh a ton however I have hit several deer and other than minor damage where they slid down the sides of my truck and having to pressure wash the blood and hair off there is no damage. As to my rear bumper I have been hit from behind 4 times ( you would think the flashing lights would inform people I am about to turn) all minor and if you look real close you can see a slight bend in my rear bumper other than that no damage at all. I saw a multi car wreck on US 10 near Houston years ago and in the middle was a 1 ton chevy truck with Ranch Hands front and rear all the cars around it were close to being totaled and the truck looked undamaged even though it had been hit in both ends.

Ranch Hand. had a buddy with one on a 250 and hit a deer at about 65 mph, no damage. The ARB's are really nice and the Road Armours are supposed to be as well.

Southwest fabricators and Ranch hand are real close, I have front and rear SW Fab on my 01 2500HD and have been tagged in the a** at a stop sign and and the caddy was messed up. Got out the sand paper and black spray paint and all was good. I have the front hitch mount with a 9000# winch in it. Had a friend with just the grill guard on an 03 2500 HD hit a deer at 50 and no damage. said it was nice to just wash the front instead of replaceing it

I have a front Ranchhand full replacement front bumper on my Dodge 2500. It is great. I hit a 8 pointer a few weeks ago running about 70 or so. Not even a scratch. Turned around picked up the deer still kicking, throwed him in the truck & went on my way. I also hit the keyhole on a Chevy Cavalier at a red light. It wasn't pretty. The only mark I had was the green paint off the Chevy.
