Default To block or not to block

That is the question.
This is my 2nd winter with a large trailer-able boat. I just read that you should raise the trailer so the tires are off the ground. How many of y'all do it? Where and how would you block up a dual axle torsion bar trailer? Thanks for the help.
Barry
