Default 2000 Ford Excursion 7.3 4x4 Limited

Putting my 2000 Ford Excursion up for sale. I have owned this truck for several years and it has never let me down. Bought it from soccer mom in bone stock excellent original condition. The motor is the 7.3 diesel that has never had a programmer put on it, all stock. I have added a leveling kit and 33" toyo tires which have less than 10k miles on them. Original rims still look new. It has the Limited package on it and everything accept for the overhead compass works, I did not work when I bought it and just never looked into fixing it. 4x4 works great. I did not plan on ever selling it but an opportunity to buy a truck I have been wanting just presented itself a few moments ago so I just walked outside and took a few shots of the Excursion, that's why it's not as clean as I'd like for you to see it. Great truck, motor is absolutely perfect. SOLD

Also, never been smoked in and has 3rd row seat, which I don't think anyone has ever sat in. Truck is located in Dothan Alabama and you can call or text me at 334-596-2356 for any questions.

A) Don't sell it B) it's essentially an F250 w the 7.3 diesel that is the little engine that could. Thats a lot of dependable power for a good price. There are a few performance upgrades that are relatively inexpensive to make this thing a beast and a useful SUV.
GLWS- not sure I will keep mine forever as my 8 yo already called dibs on it.

GLWS

Anyone who needs a diesel truck or knows about diesel trucks will tell you the Excursion is probably one of the best overall packages ever provided as an "all purpose tow/family/work vehicle". Easily upgraded and can be modernized as well since it's 90% compatable with F250/350 up to 2016.

Yes... I have one.

Yea, I'm kinda on the fence right now. I looked for almost a year to find a good clean one like this and paid out the nose for it when I bought it. It is the perfect truck for what I use it for, does everythingI built rod racks overhead that will hold about 15 offshore rigs, all my big coolers and gear will fit in the back and still haul 5 people. And the fact I can lock up all my gear inside and not just leave it laying in the back of a truck bed is pretty nice. If it doesn't sell in a day or so I think I'm going to keep it, I can see myself regretting it already.

Beautiful truck. I have one as well, mines a gasser, agreed upon the best platform for a work/tow/family vehicle out there.

Would love to see a pic and hear how you built your rod holders...I have been on the search for something I can buy that would hold 30's and 50's but haven't had much luck.

I love these things and sold mine a couple years ago and regret it every day. As for tow capabilities..... I hope seller don't mind me chiming in on this. The excursion springs are not the same as super duty springs. I towed my 26' Regulator with my 7.3 excursion and it was sketch and bad at first. But after doing a lot of reading.....there are a couple small mods that can be done to fix that. I put on a "Hellwig" sway bar in the rear which was direct bolt on and was only a couple hundred bucks, and then I put brand new Bilstein 5100 shocks all the way around, and some E rated BFG tires and it was a completely different animal when it came to towing! I'm talking night and day and was NO problem what so ever towing around the 26' Regulator after those mods. Its crazy because most excursions didn't come with a rear sway bar from the factory, as mine didn't either. The Hellwig was still a direct bolt on tho. Anyway...hope that helped answer that question. I wish I had my 7.3 excursion back. I should have never sold it...and truth be told, I'm eyeballing this one.
