You could just try not opening them, or ignoring them. Thats what adults do when there is something they dont like. Sort of like TV, I dont like the lifetime channel, so when I get to it while flipping I just keep going. I dont waste my time trying to figure out how to remove it from my TV, or make a big dramatic production about how something bothers me.

Democrats want big brother to deal with it for them, repubs like to make their own decisions and just ignore the things they don't like rather than rely on big brother to make all their decisions.

I dont like having QVC or Home shopping network however, With the remote I have them removed so they dont show up on the guide. There is alot of BS posts and such and some of us have limited time to go thru them all. Being able to hide them would be a cool feature. The OP just asked if it was possible thats all.
