I just uploaded 11 images from the Long Island "Get Together" in an Album.
The entire process was simple took about 3 minutes to complete. The Album is neatly arranged and easy to view.

ADVANTAGES:
The Album area allows users to comment to individual photos (Better than a photo forum area).
The Album area creates thumbnails so you can choose which images to view (Better than a photo forum area).
The Album area has a "Next" button so you can scroll individually through each image (Better than a photo forum area).
The Album area allows you to upload larger images which don't push the dimensions of a forum thread clear across your screen. (Better than a photo forum area).
The Album area is easy to link to from a forum thread. (Better than a photo forum area).
The Album area is "editable" (Better than a photo forum area).

DISADVANTAGES:
Requires an extra mouse click to view (Oh boy!)

Get used to the new Album area because it's here to stay. Once you actually take a few minutes to learn how to properly use it I'm sure you'll agree it's a MUCH better alternative and easier to use than any other method.

The best method to announce your Album is in a forum thread (post).

Very easy to use. I like it. One feature that I think would really make it appealing is if there were an icon along side of the alblums that include the most recent posts. One of the things that I think we all liked about the old format was that it was easy to decipher what we hadnt already seen vs the new. I love the icons on the regular boards that show what is new since my last log on. Just a suggestion. The site is terrific. You guys are doing a great job!

Is there a way to delete specific pics in your own album?

I was only able to delete an entire album...

To delete a specific image in your personal album simply go to that image - then use the
Edit Delete feature under the image.
