Default Would like some suggestions

I am looking to pick-up a G-Loomis Pelagic Series Rod.

PSR78-16CSU
Length: 6'6"
Power: 8
Pieces: 1
Casting
Would like to know if you carry this rod and what reel you would recommend for Saltwater Striped Bass and Blue Fish applications.

This stick would be exclusively used for live bait and chunking. I am leaning towards a Penn or Shimano reel and generally use 20-25 LB test big game fishing line (mono)

Budget for reel is 200.00 350.00 give or take. I have a Tekota on my St Croix and want to step up a bit.

Thanks,

Rick

Rick,

We do carry this rod and I have one in stock. Since it has a gold reelseat I just grabbed a Shimano Calcutta 700BSV(non levelwind) and put it on there and it looks perfectly and feels great. It goes for 279.99 and you will get 310yds of 20lb mono on it. Great for live bait and chunking. This is definately stepping up from a Tekota. If you don't like that reel take a look at the Avet MXL 6.3 Also a great reel at a little better price and it is just a powerhouse. If you like the Avet more I would use braided line...

Let me know if you have any more questions. We are one day away from you via UPS Ground so you could have this reel and rod tommorow with free shipping.
