Default Tabs for Trophy 2052 W/A?

Hi Tabman,
I know the answer will be M120`s I`d just like to here it from the guy everyone ask`s!!
The boat has a V6 190HP. I/O with a 9.9 4 stroke kicker on a Garelick bracket, also there`s a swim plate form on the starboard side.
Thanks.

Oh,one more thing Tabman, the previous owner put a hydro-foil on the out drive, not sure how or if this will affect anything?

Default Tabs for Trophy 2052 W/A?

Rod Buster,

Our Marketing Director has a Trophy 2002 and we have had several different Tabs on his boat. And based on that plus my own 20 foot Walkaround I would say yes M120s would be a good choice. But since we have a kicker on a bracket back there we will want to check that you can fit the M120s in the correct location and still put the kicker down. The 12” chord may hit the kicker. If the kicker and M120s will get in the way of each other we can consider using 18” x 9” Trim Tabs. The 18” x 9” Tabs will often let the Kicker lower into position without hitting them since they don’t stick out from the transom as far.

I would try removing the foil after you install the Tabs since it will just be adding drag. You can put it back on if you don't like the results.

Let me know what you think.

Tabman the bracket has 15 1/2" of lift so hopefully it will be back far enough.
Thanks again.
