Default Trim tab spray causing cavitation?

When I use the tabs a good volume of water comes off the inside corners and is directed directly to the lower units on the outboards(twins). It creates a large amount of white water. I do not feel it is an issue in calm seas however in rougher seas I think it is contributing to come cavitation. Is this normal and is there a way to fix it-it seems like I could mount a "deflector" on top of the tab to redirect the spray? Help

Slavis,

1. Are the Bennett Tabs?
2. What type of boat?
3. What size Tabs?
4. Do you have a photo you can post / send me of the transom?

Yes they are Bennet tabs, the boat is a 31' Morgan (powerboat,Naples Fl.) rigged with a stainless marine bracket with Vance Mfg. Mechanical jack plates, the tabs measure 24"x8". I hopefully will be taking the boat out this weekend and will get pictures of it in action. I will have an easier time sending you photos if I can email them to you. Thanks for your help/Scott
