Default Tab Indication w/ LMF-400

i originally posted this to the electronic forum by mistake.

i am looking at installing the LMF-400 using sensors for each main engine and one for the generator. i am interested in the Bennett trim tab indicator. could you send me the installation instructions also? i saw somewhere about drilling a hole through the transom for the sensor wire. that makes me a little nervious.
thanks
george

Sorry for the delay, I have been down with the flu for a couple of days. Can you send your E-mail address to me at Tmcgow@bennetttrimtabs.com

Tom,
I will be looking to replace my controls with the EIC5000. I am considering getting a fuel management system. I like the Navman 3100. Will it work with this?

Jim,

Sorry about that! Your post got in under my radar. The Lowrance LMF-400 is capable of showing Trim Tab position on it's display. To do this you can install a Bennett NMEA1 interface. The EIC as you know displays the Trim Tab Position on the Trim Tab control switch. They cannot be used together. It sounds to me that using the NMEA1 to display the Tab position on your LMF-400 might be the best way to go.

Tom, I was actually asking about the Navman 3100. I just jumped on the thread. Sorry.

Jim,

Ok, sorry about that. I visited Navman's web site and could not find Tab incication listed in the 3100's NMEA capable displays. I would you suggest that you contact them to confirm that they cannot show Tab information.
