Default College football is here!

Well sorta - its only IU and tOSU. Not real football like SEC football.

So who else is pumped? I have sworn off the NFL but still love watching any college football game.

Wife is a tOSU alum and we've already procured some Sam Adams Octoberfest, which officially marks the start of football season.

I'll be watching my beloved Wolfpack against The Gamecocks on Saturday. I'm cautiously optimistic, but prepared for us to poop on the field right there in front of God and everybody on national TV, just as we always do.

most those boys that play on Saturday - 99% of the seniors will be in cubicals wearing dockers next season.

You mean working at Enterprise.

Doesn't stop me from enjoying college football. 99% of high school football players won't make it to D1 either but people still go crazy for Friday night football across the country.

It's like a religion in Texas.

No kidding. Some of those HS stadiums put Duke's little field to shame.

(not that that's hard to do)

Sadly giving away my Clemson tickets tomorrow. Was taking our 14 month old to her first game, but found out today my wife has a stress fracture in her ankle. Between that and being due with # 2 on the 20'th, decided it just wasn't doable. Going to try to go to Auburn next weekend if humanly possible but we will see. Pretty certain # 2 was conceived during post game celebrations after we dropped an egg on Ohio State......so we at least can blame football on missing football.

Sorry to hear about that, and good luck with #2. Your advice was immensely helpful for us last week

Also yes that timeline does sound like it lines up perfectly...the last championship wolfpack babies were born in January 1984

And 50% of the players on your favorite team will be playing for your least favorite team next year.

It's just hard for me to get excited about pro football. It's like two corporations playing each other. I mean who gives a damn if Blue Cross takes on Aetna in the Spreadsheet bowl?

I gotta admit to laughing a little when I hear people talk about rivalries in pro football. Do you really think any pro ball player gives a darn who they play for, as long as they pay more than the next team?

Well tOSU finally scored a touchdown. Told my wife that's their first touchdown since the first round of the playoffs in 2016.

She was unamused.

Wife is stressed as hell. Worst case she had to take a few extra weeks off work. Only thing that will do is cause her to miss her annual step increase and year of service credit (special ed teacher), but we are in a good position to deal with that should it be the Dr.'s recommendation. She has 2 weeks worth of IEP's really wants to
get dome just for the sake of a temp not inadvertently screwing up her schedule for the spring, but thinks that she can do that remotely if absolutely necessary. Thankfully we have great help from her mom and mine, and I work for my Dad so have a great level of flexibility as well.

Your mini me and wife doing good?

Had a longer hospital stay than planned but everyone is home, happy, and healthy. That's all that matters, but holy crap I wasn't prepared for all that. It'll be easier next time haha.

Wife is out for the next two months (paid), and my work is pretty flexible with whatever she'll need. Her mom came down and stayed for 3 weeks until we got everyone home and she was a HUGE help. Having been through 4 pregnancies, and having 3 other grandkids over the past two years, she was freaking awesome. Would have been tough for me to do everything she did.

Hope the best for yall over the next few weeks!
