Wayne,
Thanks!
Not my Carolina - thankfully! One of my good fishing buddies owns it. He bought the 25 Carolina a year before me and it was actually from fishing in his boat that got me to go with the 25 Carolina.
I really like the Contender - overall for me probally better than the Carolina, but I really liked the Carolina too. I may miss the Carolina this coming weekend. Calling for SNOW SHOWERS on Sat! I have ten days before I have to pull the boat so unless there are Gale Force winds I will likely be out on Erie getting another load of Walleye and Yellow Perch for the freezer to get me through the winter.
Congrats on your new purchase. I'm not too familliar with the Parker lineup. Is that Center Console or Cuddy model? What did you choose for power?
It's a walk around cuddy. It will have an F225 on a bracket w/full transom. Although it's listed as a 23, I think it has more usable space than my Albie. More cockpit (huge for a 23) and larger cuddy. You can see more @ www.parkerboats.net .
Those are some hogs Freebyrd,,I have a friend who fishes out of Huron and does really well.I fish out of Erie and the Walleye fishing has slowed some the past 3 years although this year was better than the last 2. We are after the steelies right now though.........
Marti,
Indeed - a fantastic meal! Those are what we call "good eaters" - when one fish will feed a family of four... Do you have walleye in holland - or zander? Both? Just curious.
Shorty,
Steelhead are going in front of the Vermillion River - up high on cranks if you are fishing the lake. We also took a nice steelie west of the Huron River last Sat - over by Sawmill Creek. And if you are fishing the river...I don't know squat about that.
