Default Shark Fishing Ghana

Yesterday we were lucky and had a splendid fight in our fishing trip with the Hooker in Ghana.

While we trolled for marlin fishing during 5 hours with no results but a Dorado strike on one of the Big Lures (Long Left Rigger), we decided to go to a specific spot opposite Keta and tried the Shark Fishing. We have been hearing that these days there were a lot of Makos on these waters and the local fishermen are complaining on the numeraus attacks they are doing on their fishing nets.

We used as bait a small bonito with 2 marlin Hooks on a wire leader. The equipment used was 50 Lbs Line on TLD 50. The fight took 50 minutes and could be close to the 150 Pounds.

The strike took off after 15 minutes of leaving the bait in the waters....

We were able to film a nice jump from the shark. Regards.....

Your country is poised to become a big time fishing destination. Several of my friends have been there and speak highly of the country's potential. Ghana is one of the most democratic and western-friendly nations on the continent. Please keep the reports coming!
