Black Snook

I fish the southern end of Baja a lot but have never targeted Black Snook. I have heard the mangroves of both Mag Bay and LaPaz Bay offer good snook fishing. Can anybody enlighten me??

The mangroves in Mag and La Paz bays used to have good snook fishing when I fished there 30 - 40 - 50 years ago. However. In the times I have been there over the past 20 - 30 years I have learned that commercial fisherman with a mask, snorkel and spear gun have for all practical purposes eliminated the good snook fishing in those two estuaries. Are there still snook there? Yes, but you will cast your arm off trying to catch one.
